PaperWork Enterprise: The Shortest Path from Problem to Solution

Updated: 6 min read
PaperWork Enterprise workflow and document management platform

PaperWork uses its advanced software technology to solve its customers' problems in the easiest way possible. Our goal is to enable customers to solve their problems without depending on the other applications they use.

Now in its 15th year on the market as a product, our solution fully meets organizations' integration needs with other applications through the flexible infrastructure of its new product, PaperWork Enterprise. A fully web-based solution, PaperWork Enterprise was designed with an SDK (Productivity Layer) infrastructure to meet enterprise needs. PaperWork's web user interfaces were developed using the SDK. You can use these interfaces, or you can develop your own if you prefer. All of PaperWork's functions are included in the SDK. This means companies with software development capabilities can build their own developments using the SDK if they wish. Detailed SDK training and documentation are provided.

Using the Web Service library or the .NET API, any kind of integration with applications is possible. PaperWork has an infrastructure that lets the .NET DLLs you write run together with its own source code. This feature makes PaperWork unrivaled in speed and flexibility for integrations.

With the e-form design tool, web-based e-forms needed to track any kind of work, such as expense forms, leave forms and contracts, can be designed easily and put into a workflow process. The process design tool lets you easily adapt even complex workflows. Once electronic forms enter the workflow, they can exchange data directly with other applications through web services or the SDK at any step you choose.

PaperWork meets both your workflow and document management needs on a single platform. Documents circulating in your workflows can be archived automatically in PaperWork once the work is complete, if you wish.

With PaperWork WorkFlow, you can automate all kinds of workflows, such as leave requests, purchase requests and expense approval processes, in a very short time.

Because customer documents are archived regularly in the system, the customer evaluation process speeds up

Incoming and outgoing documents can be managed easily with automatic counters and date reminders. Thanks to PaperWork's messaging system, users can send records and documents to each other through PaperWork. This prevents internal correspondence from being carried out uncontrolled over email. With PaperWork's date-based alert system, department managers manage their work as efficiently as possible through alert emails they receive a set number of days before important dates such as contract end dates and response deadlines.

Supporting an open architecture, our PaperWork solution gathers all of a customer's documents coming from different systems and displays them together. When other applications want to display a document, they can do so from their own interface through integration. In addition, any kind of data exchange can be carried out easily with web services

This way, you keep all your documents under central control in PaperWork while sharing your documents and data with other applications from a single point.

Standard features in PaperWork's system architecture

Quick Archive is the section where you can quickly split, merge, name and index batch-scanned document pages in PaperWork.

Electronic Form Design tool: with this flexible tool, the user screens you need are designed easily in a short time without any coding. You can easily send and receive data from the data fields on the form through web services.

Link sending: You can send documents in the archive as links to users in external systems. You can define a click limit and validity period for links.

With the web-based viewer, you can view image-format documents (TIFF, PDF, JPG, PNG, BMP, etc.) and e-invoices in PaperWork without needing another application. You can restrict these documents from being saved to disk, printed or sent by email.

Method Server: the structure that lets DLL code written in .NET run together with PaperWork code. Because it runs on the SDK, it makes it easy to handle all kinds of integrations and other needs.

The Report tool generates queries built from index fields as documents in predefined report formats

Scalable multi-tier architecture: by installing more than one application server, you can ensure both continuous availability and the performance gains required by high user counts.

With document routing, PaperWork users can send documents to each other within the system. This makes it easy to track the actions taken on documents.

Email: you can email documents in the archive directly from PaperWork.

Subscription: when you subscribe to a record or document, you receive an alert message whenever it changes.

With history (logging), every action a user takes is recorded.

People without authorization cannot see documents and records, and cannot reach them through search either.

With versioning, all versions of documents are kept in the system. Creating new versions through check-in/check-out is subject to authorization and tracked with history records.

OCR (automatically generates the text data of scanned TIFF and PDF documents, with no limits) lets you search for words inside scanned documents.

Full-text search: you can reach any document in the archive by searching for words it contains

Scanning: you can scan directly into the archive through our web interface.

Document type independent: documents in any format are archived in the system, versioned and tracked with history.

PaperWork's web-based "PaperWork Enterprise" product meets your workflow management, archive/document management and reporting needs on a single platform. Our application, which integrates with any system, shortens the time needed to reach documents and lets all your processes, such as new customer onboarding, quotations, contract approval, service tracking, leave approval, purchase approval and incoming invoice approval, move electronically between approval points together with your documents, while you track them.

Designing processes is now very easy with the Visio-like visual workflow design tool. At any step of the flow, you can send dynamically generated alert emails and emails containing approval links. During the flow, it is very easy to send and receive data from other applications through web services;

For example, in a leave approval process, PaperWork can use a web service to pull from the HR package how many days of leave the requester has used and how many remain, and display them on the leave form. When the process is complete, it again uses a web service to report the employee's leave dates to the HR package. It can also send an automatic notification email to the requester.

You can visually track which stage a workflow is at on a diagram. You can set a time limit for completing the work at each step. If the work is not completed within the specified time, it can email managers and the people you designate, and automatically route the work to another step according to the rule you define.

With its advanced integration infrastructure consisting of a .NET library (SDK) and web services, it is open to integration with any application.

With electronic forms, you can design even the most complex interfaces in a short time by drag and drop, without writing code. When you need to, you can code directly in C# on these forms.

With the reporting tool, you can access real-time, detailed information about your processes and employees. You can pull data from different electronic forms and combine it in a single report. This reporting tool can also be used for workflow reporting. Reports are created with the design tool.

Our company began developing PaperWork in 1998, and the first version was released to the market in 2000. With user-friendly interfaces that can be designed easily by drag and drop without writing code, it is unrivaled in the market. It can be configured and deployed in a short time. With technology that allows integration with any application, it starts working alongside your existing applications quickly.
